The longest current losing streak in D1 FBS football continues as ULM lost to Appalachian State 31-13 on Halloween.
While all sides of the ball struggled, many offensive woes can be attributed to bad special teams plays pitting the ULM offense against a much larger field, while the Mountaineers were able to get favorable starts to their drives.
ULM’s average start was on their own 19-yard line opposed to Appalachian State’s very favorable average start on their own 36-yard line.
The first half was full of opportunities that were squandered on both sides of the ball.
