Boone, N.C. – Appalachian State used three consecutive 3-pointers, two from Lainey Gosnell, to mount a 9-0 third quarter run to claim the lead and held on for a 56-51 win over ULM Thursday night at the Holmes Convocation Center.
The Warhawks had trouble slowing the sophomore Gosnell, who finished with a career-high 26 points to pace App State.
"We let her get loose," said head coach Jeff Dow. "We had three just huge breakdowns on stuff that we had gone over the past three days, one at the end of the half and two in the third quarter, early that she hit.
