NEW ORLEANS -- ULM men's golf sophomore Louis Anceaux was named Sun Belt Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the second time this season after a league-wide vote on Thursday (Feb. 6).
Anceaux earned his first collegiate win at the Vaqueros Intercollegiate at the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Course in Playa del Carmen. He ranked second in par four average scoring at 3.97 and drained 13 birdies in 54 holes. The Groslay, France native finished in first place out of 90 golfers in the field.
Anceaux became the first golfer to repeat as SBC Men's Golfer of the Week this season as he earned the honor in week three after recording the lowest 18-hole round in program history with a score of 63 (-9) and completed the tournament with a score of 202 (-14) in three rounds for an individual runner-up finish at the Graeme McDowell Invitational.
