LAFAYETTE – The Ragin' Cajuns Women's Tennis team was defeated by the University of Illinois-Chicago on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 4-2. Louisiana drops to 8-1 on the year and UIC gets to 4-2.
Louisiana started doubles play with a win as Floriane Picaut and Dana Radovanovic won its match against UIC's pair of Karyna Bihel and Izzy Marshall, by a score of 6-4. Despite the next two doubles matches each going to a tiebreaker, Louisiana fell in both to lose the doubles point and go down 1-0 heading.
Illinois-Chicago captured the first singles point of the match to take a 2-0 lead.
