RUSTON, La. -- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns' bid for their second-consecutive 8-1 start was ended Saturday night, as they fell, 79-62 to Louisiana Tech at Thomas Assembly Center.
The Cajuns offense was led by a season-high 23 points from senior Keke Veal. Junior Jaylyn Gordon added 17 points, five assists and three steals.
In the early stages of the game, Louisiana grabbed a 5-2 lead following a three-pointer from freshman Jordan Alexander at the 6:32 mark of the first quarter.
The lead would not last long, as Louisiana Tech followed with an 8-2 scoring surge, capped by a three-pointer by Tiara Davenport.
