BOONE, N.C. -- Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns senior guard Keke Veal scored a game-high 27 points to move into third place on UL's all-time scoring list in a 76-59 road loss at Appalachian State on Thursday evening at the Holmes Center.
The Cajuns (16-5, 9-3 SBC) fell to 4-2 in conference road games this season. Senior guard Kia Wilridge added 13 points, five assists and a steal.
"I thought we had a slow start at the beginning of the game," Ragin' Cajuns head coach Garry Brodhead said. "We started pressing on defense in the second half and causing some turnovers to cut it to three.
