ARLINGTON, Texas – Kevin Hervey and Jalen Jones each scored a game-high 21 points and UT Arlington shot nearly 66 percent from the floor in the second half to defeat the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, 108-71, in a Sun Belt Conference men's basketball game on Monday at College Park Center.
Kaleon Wilson added 14 points off the bench while Erick Neal dished out 13 assists as UTA (15-5, 5-2 SBC) finished 40-for-70 (57.1 percent) for the game while sinking 13 3-pointers.
UTA took advantage of poor shooting by Louisiana (13-7, 3-4 SBC) early in the first half as the Mavs built a 17-6 lead on a bucket by Wilson with 13:06 remaining in the first half.
