LAFAYETTE, La. – Senior Lexi Turner's early goal lifted the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Northwestern State on Friday night at the Ragin' Cajuns Soccer/Track Facility.
The Ragin' Cajuns (1-1-1) extended their win streak in the series to six games against the Demons (1-2-0). Louisiana notched its first shutout of the season as junior keeper Mackenzie Lee posted four saves in the contest.
Northwestern State had a slight 10-9 edge in shots in the match. Turner, Kacie Pou and Savanna Young each had a pair of shots in the match for the Ragin' Cajuns.
