NEW ORLEANS – After setting both the school and Sun Belt Conference record in the pole vault, Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns standout Morgann Leleux was named on Monday as the Sun Belt Conference Women's Field Student-Athlete of the Year in a vote by the league's head coaches.
Leleux, a New Iberia native and a five-time All-American at Georgia, shattered the school and SBC record in the pole vault in her first season as a Ragin' Cajun. Leleux, ranked third in the NCAA East Region and fourth nationally for Louisiana in the pole vault, recorded a mark of 14 feet, 10 inches at the Sun Belt Conference Championships held last week at the Ragin' Cajuns Soccer/Track Facility.
