CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – Freshman Ai Noa Fabre collected a title in doubles, and singles, while sophomore Floriane Picaut finished second in the singles top draw for the second straight season, giving Louisiana Women's Tennis a solid finish to a successful weekend at the Contender CrossFit Islander Open.
FABRE DOUBLES UP: Fabre, who snagged two wins on Saturday, finished the weekend undefeated in both doubles and singles, had to finish up what she started in the Fish Draw, by winning her championship matchup with UT-Rio Grande Valley's Ana Platisa. Fabre did just that, holding off and attempts by Platisa to get into the match, with Fabre coming away with the 8-6 win to give Louisiana a singles championship.
