LAFAYETTE – Louisiana's Jack Tolson was one of a record 540 student-athletes named as a 2019 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar in a release by the organization on Wednesday.
Tolson, a senior from Lafayette, posted a 74.0 scoring average in 27 rounds of play during the 2018-19 season. Tolson opened the spring season with a back-to-back 1-under 71 at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate and capped off the season with a 2-under 214 at the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
Tolson became the 22nd Ragin' Cajuns golfer to earn Academic All-America honors and the first since 2017 when Ragnar Gardarsson and Thomas Strandemo were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars.
