LAFAYETTE – Bartul Basic, Richard Delphin and freshman Claire Meyers each turned in second-place finishes to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns track and field team after the first day of the 2017 Louisiana Classics on Friday at the Ragin' Cajuns Soccer/Track Complex.

Basic, the defending Sun Belt Conference champion in the men's javelin, posted a throw of 219-5 to finish second behind McNeese State's Donovan Banks (222-2).
