LAFAYETTE — The Louisiana-Lafayette football team didn’t have to go too far to find its new wide receivers coach.
According to a source with knowledge of the situation, former Cajuns quarterback Michael Desormeaux has notified Ascension Episcopal, where he has been the head coach for the last three years, that he was accepting the wide receivers coach position with the Cajuns.
Desormeaux played quarterback for the Cajuns from 2005-2008, amassing 2,843 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns to go along with 3,893 passing yards and 23 touchdowns.
This is a developing story and will be updated periodically.
