NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns senior forward Yazmin Montoya was named the Sun Belt Conference's Offensive Player of the Week in a release by the conference office on Tuesday.
Montoya led Louisiana (6-5-1, 2-1-1 SBC) with one goal against Georgia Southern and one goal against Troy. In a 2-0 victory over Georgia Southern last Friday, Montoya had a shot from 30 yards out that was placed into the top right corner of the goal.
In a 3-2 double overtime win over Troy last Sunday, Montoya took a pass off a free kick and scored her fourth goal of the season.
