MOBILE, Ala. – Junior Erika Sierra's goal in the last minute of regulation lifted the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team to a 1-1 double-overtime draw against South Alabama on Friday night at The Cage.
Louisiana (3-11-3, 2-6-1 SBC) outshot the Jaguars (7-8-1, 5-3-1 SBC) 20-19 in the match. South Alabama had a 13-9 edge in corners on the night.
The tie keeps the Ragin' Cajuns Sun Belt Conference tournament hopes alive as the Cajuns move two points back of Georgia Southern for eighth place in the league.
Freshman Gwen Mummert led Louisiana with six shots in the contest and picked up her first assist of the season, while keeper Mackenzie Lee notched a career-best nine saves.
