LAFAYETTE – The Red Team grabbed the series lead in the 2017 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball Fall World Series with an 11-8 win in Game 1 on Monday evening at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.
A string of 10 unanswered runs, which began in the fifth inning, helped the Red Team erase a 5-1 lead that the White Team had built over the first four innings.
Game 2 of the best-of-three series is set for 3 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Team needs one win to capture the series and a steak dinner, while White needs a win to extend the series to a winner-take-all third game on Wednesday.
