After winning a doubleheader last Saturday against UT-Arlington 13-0 and 16-0, the UL-Lafayette softball team couldn’t have seen the series finale unfolding the way it did Sunday.
But the Mavericks came out determined and put a 3-1 loss on the Ragin’ Cajuns — only their second defeat of the season.
At any rate, the Cajuns must quickly turn the page to this weekend’s three-game series in Troy, Alabama, against the Trojans.
“The next time we get on the field will be a little bit of a reset button,” associate head coach Chris Malveaux said. “You want to learn from (the loss), but you can’t sit and dwell on it.
