JONESBORO, Ark. — UL-Lafayette sophomore Wyatt Marks turned in a strong performance on the mound as the Ragin’ Cajuns defeated Arkansas State 5-2 on Saturday to even their series at Tomlinson Stadium.
“Marks did a great job,” coach Tony Robichaux said. “He only had one hit out of the infield on him, and a solo home run usually isn’t going to hurt you a whole lot. Today is a perfect example of what pitching and defense can do for you.”
Marks (3-2) held the Red Wolves to two runs (one earned) on three hits with eight strikeouts in seven innings.
