LAFAYETTE – Playing in its first match since Feb. 8, Louisiana Women's Tennis (4-3) dropped a closely contested match at Cajun Courts to Sam Houston State (4-3), 4-2, in a Sunday afternoon match that was contested to the very end.
Junior Marina Rodriguez Garcia snagged herself a win in singles, while in doubles the pairing of Garcia and fellow junior Clara Mantaux along with the Louisiana duo of sophomores Floriane Picaut and Dana Radovanovic each snagged wins for Louisiana.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Doubles): Louisiana took the doubles point, but it was not easily earned by the Ragin' Cajuns with all three matches being played out before Louisiana would lock down the 1-0 lead heading into singles.
