SAN FRANCISCO – Louisiana Women's Tennis (5-5), making its first trip to the West Coast in over a decade, dropped the first two matches it played over the weekend, falling 4-2 to San Francisco (6-4) on March 2 and losing 4-3 to Pacific (1-3) on March 3 with both matches being played at the San Francisco Tennis Club.
In both matches Louisiana was extremely competitive, with the match against Pacific being decided in doubles and Louisiana's matchup with San Francisco coming down to a three-set battle in singles. Despite the outcomes for Louisiana the two matches showed the fight of the Ragin' Cajuns.
