BOONE, N.C. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team came up short in a hard fought match at Appalachian State as the squad fell 1-0 in Sun Belt Conference action on Sunday at the Ted Mackorell Soccer Complex.
The Mountaineers (7-5-1, 4-1-0 SBC) had a slight 8-6 edge in shots over the Ragin' Cajuns (3-9-2, 2-4-0 SBC) in the contest, while both teams had five corners in the game. Sophomore goalkeeper had a game-high three stops.
HOW IT HAPPENED
App State tallied the lone goal of the match in the 34th minute when a cross from Emmily Cowie sailed past Ryan into the top of the net.
