HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team ventures east for a pair of matches on Monday when it competes in the Jerry Weeks Match Play Tournament at the Hattiesburg Country Club.
Play on the par-71, 6,902-yard course begins at 8 a.m., with Louisiana facing Sun Belt Conference rival South Alabama beginning at the No. 10 tee. Host Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech will face off at the No. 1 tee with the winners of the morning matches to play in the championship at 1:05 p.m. The consolation match will begin at 12:30 p.m.
All four teams met in last year's event with Louisiana dropping a 3-2 match to South Alabama in the opener before coming back to defeat Louisiana Tech, 3-2, in the consolation.
