LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns and McNeese State University announced on Thursday a non-conference football game between the schools scheduled for Sept. 5, 2020 at Cajun Field.
The meeting will be the 39th between the schools with Louisiana claiming a 30-22 victory in the last contest on Sept. 10, 2016 at Cajun Field. The schools, separated by 77 miles, met annually on the gridiron from 1951-86 when both were members of the Gulf States Conference (1951-70) and the Southland Conference (1971-81).
The game against McNeese State, a Division I (FCS) member of the Southland Conference, is one of three non-conference game scheduled for Louisiana joining scheduled contests at FBS Independent New Mexico State (Oct.
