LAFAYETTE – Louisiana displayed its resiliency after giving up a five-spot in the second inning and battled back into Saturday afternoon's game but came up just short in the bottom of the ninth as No. 23 Texas took the second game of the series, 6-5, at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.
Needing two runs to tie the game, senior Daniel Lahare was able to make his way across the plate safely to pull the Ragin' Cajuns within one score, but the home side was unable to push across any additional runs to steal the game.
