LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns cross country team gears up for its second meet of the 2017 season when it travels to Mobile, Ala., to compete in the Azalea City Classic on Friday at The Grounds of Mobile.
The women's 5K race will begin at 5:15 p.m., with the men's race to start at 5:45. Louisiana, ranked No. 11 in the USTFCCCA Men's South Central Region poll, will be joined in the meet by Sun Belt Conference rivals South Alabama and ULM along with Alabama State and Mobile.
Louisiana opened its season last week at the New Orleans Invitational, claiming first place in the men's 5K race and finishing second overall in the women's 5K.
