LAKE CHARLES, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team claimed its first tournament title since the 2013-14 season finishing in first place at the Lake Charles Invitational with an overall score of 14-under par (850) on Tuesday at the par-72, 6,869-yard Country Club at the Golden Nugget golf course.
The Cajuns won the tournament by 12 strokes over No. 39 Marquette. The team victory is the first since Louisiana claimed the Sam Hall Intercollegiate title in 2013 with a score of 15-under. The team title is the fifth for the Ragin' Cajuns under head coach Theo Sliman.
