LAFAYETTE – Following in the recent footsteps of former dual-sport athletes Elijah McGuire and Jeryl Brazil, Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball player Jam Williams officially joined the Ragin' Cajuns football team on Monday, in a joint announcement by head football coach Mark Hudspeth and head baseball coach Tony Robichaux.
Williams, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound outfielder for the Ragin' Cajuns baseball team, will have two years of eligibility remaining in football. Williams becomes the fifth dual-sport athlete for the Ragin' Cajuns in the past four years joining McGuire (football/basketball), Brazil (track and field/football), Christian Umphries (track and field/football) and Angus Sinclair (track and field/football).
