OXFORD, Miss. – One big inning made the difference and it allowed No. 17 Ole Miss to force the winner-take-all game with No. 7 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball on Sunday at the NCAA Oxford Regional.
Ole Miss (40-18) used a pair of home runs to spark a five-run third inning which netted the hosts a 5-1 win over Louisiana (52-5) and prompted an upcoming deciding game for the NCAA Super Regional berth.
The Ragin' Cajuns and Rebels are set to return to field at the Ole Miss Softball Complex at 5:30 p.m. for the opportunity to advance to meet the winner of the NCAA Tucson Regional championship which features Arizona and Auburn.
