NEW ORLEANS – Eric Perez was one of two players to force a third set in their respective singles match, but UT Arlington claimed the doubles point and recorded three victories in singles action to defeat the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis team, 4-0, in the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Friday at the UNO University Tennis Center.
UTA (16-10), the No. 5 seed in the field, advanced to the semifinals against top-seeded Georgia State on Saturday at 3 p.m. Louisiana, which had won eight of its last 10 matches heading in the tournament, ended its season at 17-11.
