LAKE CHARLES – Playing without senior JaKeenan Gant, Louisiana's other two seniors picked up the slack as Malik Marquetti scored a career-high 29 points with Marcus Stroman adding 20 to lead the Ragin' Cajuns to an 80-67 victory over McNeese before an announced crowd of 2,590 on Tuesday at the new McNeese H&HP Complex.
Jerekius Davis scored 12 points in his second start of the season for Louisiana (8-4) while Justin Miller added 11. The win for Louisiana marked its fourth straight victory over McNeese (3-8) in the 94-game series and its second straight victory in Lake Charles since claiming wins in 1991 and 1999.
