NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team is headed to the Sun Belt Championship game following a 79-71 win over top-seeded Little Rock on Saturday at Lakefront Arena.
No. 5-seeded Louisiana (20-10 SBC, 11-7 SBC) will play the winner of No. 2-seeded UTA and No. 3-seeded Troy in the SBC Final on Sunday at 6 p.m.
The Cajuns took a 67-65 lead when Jaylyn Gordon, who led Louisiana with 21 points, made a layup with 4:12 left in the game. Fields then connected on a jumper to give the Cajuns a 69-65 lead with 3:38 remaining in the contest.
