ARLINGTON, Texas – For the second consecutive night, five runs in the final two innings proved to be the undoing for Louisiana Baseball as it fell to UTA, 7-3, at Clay Gould Ballpark on Friday.
It was déjà vu for the Ragin' Cajuns (20-22, 8-9), which dropped Thursday night's game after allowing five runs to score in the final two frames, sending the Mavericks to a 9-8, walk-off win.
Junior Tremaine Spears went 3-for-3 at the plate in the defeat to lead the team offensively, with all three of his hits one baggers.
