NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team was picked to finish fifth as the Sun Belt Conference released its 2017-18 Preseason Poll and Preseason All-Conference teams on Tuesday.
Seniors Bryce Washington and Frank Bartley were each named to the 15-player Preseason All-SBC team with Washington named a second-team selection with Bartley named to the third-team.
Louisiana, which finished 21-12 in 2016-17, received one first-place vote and 113 points in the 12-team field. Defending regular-season champion UT Arlington was picked to repeat after receiving nine first-place votes and 128 points in voting by the league's head coaches.
