LAFAYETTE – For the sixth time in the 16-year history of the Wally Pontiff Jr. Classic, Louisiana and No. 14 LSU will meet on the diamond for a charitable midweek contest on Tuesday evening inside the Shrine on Airline. First pitch is slated for 7 p.m.
Fans planning to make the trip to Metairie can expect a good one as all five of the previous meetings between the two schools have been decided by four runs or less, including last year's 3-1 decision that went in the favor of the Ragin' Cajuns.
