LAFAYETTE – A pair of two-run innings was too much for the Louisiana baseball team to overcome as Loyola Marymount evened the weekend series with a 4-1 victory over the Ragin' Cajuns on Saturday at Russo Park.
Louisiana (6-8) had its chances to get back into the game with two runners on in both the fifth and eighth innings, but were unable to push any additional runs across the plate.
Orynn Veillon and Todd Lott were the offensive catalysts for the Ragin' Cajuns with two hits each, while Hayden Cantrelle provided the final hit during the contest.
