LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team surged to a 9-4 victory over Louisiana Tech on Tuesday night at J.C. Love Field to split the season series with the Bulldogs.
The Ragin' Cajuns (23-19) outhit La Tech (29-14) 11-7 in the game and swiped three bases in the game.
Freshman left-hander Austin Perrin was outstanding on the mound picking up his third victory of the season. Perrin tossed a career-high 8.0 innings while limiting the Bulldogs to one run on five hits with a walk and three strikeouts. After giving up a run on two hits in the first inning, Perrin went on to retire 18 of the next 19 batters he faced in the game.
