Louisiana Baseball Drops Series Opener In Extra Innings To Arkansas State

JONESBORO, Ark. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team came up short in 12 innings on Thursday night falling to Arkansas State 8-7 in the series opener at Tomlinson Stadium.

Reliever Grant Cox suffered the loss for the Cajuns (11-14, 2-5 SBC) after giving up a run without recording an out in the 12th inning. Louisiana was outhit 16-10 in the game.

Bo Ritter claimed the victory for A-State (10-12, 2-5 SBC) tossing 2.2 scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts.

LEADING THE CAJUNS

Junior Hunter Kasuls led the Ragin' Cajuns at the plate going 3-for-6 with a double, triple and a career-best four RBI, while junior Gavin Bourgeois drove in a run and had two doubles on the night.
