LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Athletics unveiled Tuesday the Geaux Cajuns Program, a rebrand of the Champs Life Skills program, designed to inspire leadership and citizenship in the department's 375-plus student-athletes.
Focused on advancing student-athletes outside of the athletic arena, the Geaux Cajuns Program's components will assist the individual with his or her transition into life after intercollegiate athletics and assist in facilitating their overall growth and development.
"We believed it was critical to rebrand a program that has empowered and educated our student-athletes for years," Louisiana Director of Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard said. "The Geaux Cajuns Program continues to focus on leadership and citizenship development, while engaging student-athletes, coaches and our community.
