LAFAYETTE – Senior outfielder Kyle Clement is expected to miss about a month as he recovers from a broken bone in his right forearm sustained in Tuesday night’s game against the University of New Orleans.
Leading off the second inning, Clement attempted to check his swing at an offering from Privateers pitcher Bryan Warzek, and the pitch hit him on his arm. He remained in the game on the base paths, but was substituted out when the Cajuns took the field defensively.
“That’s a lot of thump out of our lineup,” said coach Tony Robichaux. “It is what it is, somebody’s going to have to step up.
