SAN MARCOS, Texas — The Louisiana-Lafayette women’s basketball team split the regular season series with Texas State, outlasting the Bobcats 59-47 at Strahan Coliseum on Saturday.
The win improved the Cajuns record to 18-7 and 11-5 in Sun Belt Conference play this season. Louisiana holds a 6-4 record on the road with the victory.
Keke Veal poured in a game-high 25 points to go with four rebounds and five assists in 40 minutes. Simone Fields picked up her second double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
“I think everyone did their role today, which is what we always talk about,” Ragin’ Cajuns coach Garry Brodhead said.
