LAFAYETTE – Freshman Colton Frank's first collegiate hit could not have come at a better time, blasting a solo shot over the left-field wall to send Louisiana to a thrilling 7-6, walk-off victory over Tulane on Tuesday night.
The walk-off homer was the second of the season for the Ragin' Cajuns (12-14, 3-3), the first coming off the bat of Orynn Veillon in a 6-5, extra-innings affair against Southern Miss on March 13.
Entering the game in the top of the eighth inning, Frank not only notched his first career hit and RBI, but was responsible for two putouts in left field, including hauling in the final out in the top of the ninth inning.
