LAFAYETTE – Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball player Jay Wright earned an invitation on Tuesday to next week's MGM Resorts NBA Summer League in Las Vegas when he was chosen to play for the Orlando Magic.
Wright, who played for the Ragin' Cajuns from 2014-17, was the third player picked by Northern Arizona in the first round of the 2017 NBA G League Draft before having his rights shipped to Lakeland (NBA G League affiliate for Orlando).
"I'm blessed to get this opportunity from Orlando," said Wright, "and I will make the best out of it.
