LAFAYETTE — Former Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Brooks Haack has officially found a new team.
Northwestern State announced Friday that Haack was one of three players to transfer to the program. Haack graduated from Louisiana-Lafayette this month and is eligible to play immediately as a graduate transfer. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Haack will compete against Demons juniors J.D. Almond and Joel Blumenthal.
“He passed up an internship working with Major Applewhite (offensive coordinator at Houston) to come here and play this fall, so he’s driven to compete, even though he’s already graduated, and wants to see his career through,” Northwestern State coach Jay Thomas said in a news release.
