LAFAYETTE — The toll on the players’ minds from final exam preparation might’ve been frightful, but the weather outside was not. So coach Bob Marlin opened the doors and ushered his team outside.
Louisiana-Lafayette took a break from its usual routine — and from the mental grind of final exams — and practiced under the sun on the blacktop across the street from Bourgeois Hall on Monday.
“The weather’s been so nice and guys have been cooped up for exams, studying a little bit — at least I hope they have been,” Marlin said. “I know they were Sunday night at study hall.
