LAFAYETTE – A challenging six-game home schedule that features a Sept. 3 opener against Boise State, a nationally-televised ESPN2 broadcast, and non-conference road tilts at both Tulane and Georgia highlight the 2016 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football schedule which was released on Thursday by the Sun Belt Conference.
The Ragin' Cajuns will host four schools that participated in the postseason in 2015, beginning with the season-opener against Boise State. Louisiana will also renew an I-10 rivalry with defending Southland Conference champion McNeese State on Sept. 10, will host Applachian State (Oct. 12) in a Wednesday night contest that will be nationally-televised on ESPN2, and face defending Sun Belt champion Arkansas State on Nov.
