Football: Cajuns Officially Open Spring Drills

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team officially opened spring practice on Tuesday as sixth-year head coach Mark Hudspeth led his team through a two-hour workout in blustery conditions at the Ragin' Cajuns Practice Facility.

The Ragin' Cajuns, who return 19 starters and 46 letterwinners, worked on installing its offensive and defensive schemes while going through fundamental drills. One of the main position battles on the offensive side of the ball is expected at quarterback, where Jordan Davis and redshirt freshman Chris Weaver are the top two candidates to direct the Cajuns in their Sept.
