VERONA, N.Y. – Charlie Flynn posted a pair of rounds in the 60's and finished four shots off the individual lead as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team opened its season on Sunday in the Turning Stone Intercollegiate at Turning Stone Resort.
Louisiana posted identical team rounds of 4-over 292 to sit in fourth place at 584 in the 11-team field after 36 holes. Host Missouri held the first-day lead at 19-under 557 with Stetson (572), Delaware (576), Louisiana and Towson (585) rounding out the top five.
Flynn, with 13 career rounds in the 60's entering the season, opened the day with a 4-under-par 68 in the opening round on the par-72, 6,882-yard course before coming back to post a 3-under 69 in the afternoon.
