HAMMOND, La. – Senior Simone Fields poured in 19 points and six rebounds, while freshman Ty'Reonne Doucet grabbed a career high 10 rebounds to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball team in scoring as the Cajuns beat the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions, 68-56, here at the University Center.
The win improves the Cajuns record to 4-6 and it extends their winning streak against SLU to six games going back to 2011, while SLU's record falls to 1-8 on the season.
Sophomore Jasmine Thomas saw her first minutes of the seasons, playing 13 minutes, making an immediate impact scoring nine points (2-5) and she got to the free throw line six times finishing 4 for 6 from the line.
