LAFAYETTE – Former Louisiana pitcher Danny Farquhar has signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees, Fancred's Jon Heyman first reported on Twitter.
Farquhar will take the mound for the Yankees organization following a full recovery from a life-threatening brain hemorrhage that he suffered in the dugout on April 20, 2018 while playing for the Chicago White Sox.
Over the course of his seven-year career, Farquhar has played for four different clubs, including the White Sox, and boasts a 3.93 career ERA with 309 strikeouts in 272.1 innings of work.
