POINT CLEAR, Ala. – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball standout Aleah Craighton was named the Sun Belt Conference Female Student-Athlete of the Year while football's Grant Horst was named to the SBC Leadership Team as the top student-athletes and athletic departments were honored on Sunday as the conference hosted an Honors Reception as part of its annual spring meetings.
Appalachian State and Louisiana were awarded with the Institutional Graduation Rate Award as the two institutions tied for the highest student-athlete graduation rate based on the most recent data compiled by the NCAA.
The highest individual honor in the Sun Belt Conference – the Student-Athlete of the Year Award – was given to Craighton and UTA's Kevin Hervey.
